The Internet of Services (IoS) Days was co-organised by the European Commission and the FP7 HOLA! project. Representatives of FP7 projects in the area of Software & Services, Architectures and Infrastructures were invited to participate. The objective of the meeting was to present new FP7 Call 8 projects and incorporate them in collaboration activities, to gain a better understanding of the results of current FP7 projects in the “Internet of Services” area as well as consolidating the collaboration activities among projects.
Kevin Doolin, TSSG,SOCIETIES project Coordinator, chaired the Participatory Service Design session which discussed issues related to participatory service design through user engagement. Jacqueline Floch (SINTEF) presented at the session. Micheal Crotty, TSSG, SOCIETIES Research coordinator, presented at the Open Source Development Methodologies and Outcomes session.
SOCIETIES is currently researching and investigating how to support dynamically created pervasive communities with intelligent, adaptive and collaborative features while providing mechanisms for managing multiple communities including community hierarchies and networks of communities. SOCIETIES is funded by the FP7 Programme. The SOCIETIES project has been running since October 2010 and will be completed in 2014.
