The annual forum was comprised of two elements including the BIC International Advisory Group (IAG) workshop on long term strategies and the BIC IAG Workshop on international cooperation covering trust management for mobile and cloud based services.
The key objectives of the BIC project include charting the ‘trust and security’ landscape of Brazil, India and South Africa and their initial match to EU trust, security and privacy themes; prioritising the EU influenced vision and research directions amongst the new countries (Brazil, India and South Africa), including the potential for bi-lateral alignment of work programmes as well as multi-lateral alignment, consensus and outreach of the European visions and challenges across all targeted countries.
BIC started on 1st January 2011 and runs for 3 years, with James Clarke, Strategic EU Liaison Manager, TSSG acting as project coordinator.
