Irish Design 2015 is an initiative assembled by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DDCol), in collaboration with partner organisations throughout Ireland.

Irish Design 2015 (ID2015) is an innovative year-long programme exploring, promoting and celebrating all forms of Irish design. ID2015 will host events, exhibitions and support initiatives to create jobs and grow the profile of the design industry in Ireland and abroad. The activities will cover a broad range of design topics including animation, architecture, fashion, film, interiors, UI and UX to name just a few. It will showcase a broad and varied range of top Irish design with major events all around Ireland but also on an international level throughout the capitals of the design world.

Irish Design 2015 will work with the production team Designersblock for the Irish Design 2015 presence in key international locations throughout the programme. Designersblock have an extensive network of contacts across design media, influencers, corporates and the international design community and will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience.

ID2015 will also help to establish a legacy of supports for startup, developing, practices and spring boarding design practice to international markets. The jobs legacy will focus on the integration of both product and service design in Ireland. The goal of the Year of Irish Design 2015 is to increase the awareness, understanding and use of design in Irish society, and to promote Irish design capability internationally, in order to sustain employment and generate new jobs in the sector. 2015 is going to be a huge year for Irish Design.
