TSSG’s software process and quality function, led by the Verification & Validation group, has once again been highlighted as a leader in its field. A comprehensive article describing the teams implementation of free and open source tools to manage software quality through an agile process is published in this months edition of ACM Queue.

The US based Association for Computing Machinery is the worlds largest educational
and scientific computing society with many leading edge publications and conferences. The article describes how the V&V team have used free and open source tools such as Redmine to drive their project and process management. The use of code repositories like Git and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins are emphasised as key components of their agile strategy. Also included are overviews of the JMeter load test tool and the Selenium automated test framework which have been used on numerous successful projects within TSSG.

Check out the article which is available in ACM Queue’s online edition and also via Communications of the ACM (CACM) print edition.
