TSSG at Digital Ocean Conference, Galway
On 30th June 2016, TSSG participated in ‘The Digital Ocean Conference: a pathway for developing Ireland’s blue economy’ held at the Meyrick Hotel, Galway. The event is an initiative led by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, IDA, Enterprise Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland, Marine Institute, Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and the Irish Marine Development Office in association with SmartBay Ireland.
‘The Digital Ocean: a pathway for developing Ireland’s blue economy’ seeks to promote Ireland’s digital ocean opportunity highlighting how technology companies can drive new forms of innovation in the blue economy using Ireland as a test-bed with its significant marine resource, world-class expertise and infrastructure. The event will feature insights from a number of companies from the technology sector and will also showcase national infrastructure and expertise that are supporting the growth of Ireland’s reputation as a compelling location to do business in the sector.
The programme includes speakers from IBM, Ericsson, Cathx Ocean, Intel, Teledyne Oil and Gas, SAP, IMERC, MARS Innovation Centre NOC UK, SFI MaREI Centre, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Wood Group Kenny, OpenHydro, JFC Marine, Technology from Ideas, SeaPower, CadFem, Commissioner of Irish Lights, SFI Research Centre CONNECT, SFI Research Centre Insight, Deloitte, demos from SonarSim, Techworks Marine and others.

Targeting digital ocean opportunity TSSG demonstrated The Aquasmart Project use case to bring cutting edge technology closer to the market for use by fish farmers and their supply chain across Europe.
