Hosting Agreement

Candidates that are resident outside of Ireland may require a Hosting Agreement to work in Ireland.

The Hosting Agreement will be organised by WIT and can take up to a minimum of two weeks. This applies to Non-EEA nationals whether or not they are currently resident in an EU member state. Please see steps below for more information.

Application

HR sends the Hosting Agreement application to the candidate to complete.

Finalise

Once the candidate returns the application, HR finalise the Hosting Agreement and send the original to the candidate.

Process

It takes a minimum of 2 weeks to process the application.

Notify

The Irish Universities Association process the Hosting Agreement and notify the Immigration Authorities who in turn notify the candidate.

Register

Registration – Non-EEA nationals must register with the local immigration officer within 2 weeks of arrival in Ireland. They will receive a GNIB (Garda National Immigration Bureau) card with an immigration stamp.
