CAREER DEVELOPMENT FELLOWSHIPS IN THE NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CENTRE AND TECHNOLOGY GATEWAY PROGRAMMES

TSSG is inviting Postdoctoral Researchers to join our Research centre through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Career-FIT programme.

Fellows will be hired by WIT for three years, including a mandatory secondment to industry for up to 12 months.

Each Fellow will be assigned an Academic Mentor and a Secondment Mentor to guide him/her in the research project, training and career progression. He/she will further benefit from exposure to the ongoing research collaboration in the associated Technology Centre / Technology Gateway.

The research areas of interests in the TSSG includes Communication Networks (5G, Software Defined Networking, Internet of Things), Nano and Molecular Communications, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence in Fog and Cloud Computing, Brain communication systems, Adaptive and Autonomous algorithms, where these research areas can be applied to Intelligent Transport, Smart Agriculture, Smart Health.  For further information go to https://www.wit.ie/research/centres_and_groups/tssg

Postdoctoral Research Fellows in the TSSG are required to support the basic research work in their respective units, and this includes participating and supporting in development of proposals (SFI, EU H2020), as well as joint supervision of PhD students, and collaboration with peers.

The TSSG provides support to allow successful candidates to pursue independent research in any area of their interest, as long as this falls in line with the thematic areas of the unit. This allows researchers to develop their own independent groups to advance their research interests.
