Personal Summary

Alberto Huertas Celdrán is currently an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postdoctoral research fellow associated with the TSSG, WIT. Huertas Celdrán received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Murcia. His scientific interests include medical cyber-physical systems (MCPS), Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI), cybersecurity, data privacy, continuous authentication, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), semantic technology, and policy-based context-aware systems. He is co-author of more than 20 scientific publications (including journal and conference papers) and an active member on different national and international research projects.  He is also a reviewer for many journals and participated as technical program committee and reviewer for various international conferences. Furthermore, he has performed several international internships during his Ph.D. degree.

Research Interest

Alberto is currently working on his IRC fellowship entitled “BRAINSEC: Autonomic neurosecurity to avoid brain hacking through Brain-Computer Interfaces”. However, he is also interested in:

-Network security and privacy
-Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI)
-Medical Cyber-Physical Systems (MCPS)

-Continuous authentication in mobile devices
-5G network management
-Software Defined Networking (SDN) paradigm

-Context-awareness and Location-Based Services (LBS)
