Stepan has almost 5 years of experience as a postdoctoral researcher in the area of ICT. I received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland, where I have been employed as a postdoctoral researcher since. During that time I was a principal investigator of a commercially-focused project funded by Enterprise Ireland agency and I am currently a techni- cal/research lead on a basic research project that builds an IoT solution for Future Dairy Farming. I started my research career working on general-purpose wireless networks and then transitioned initially to the area of Internet of Things and finally Fog Computing. That resulted in multiple peer-reviewed conference and journal publications in these areas. I serve as a reviewer for various international conferences (e.g. IEEE GlobeCom 2010, IEEE ISCC 2010/2011/2012, IEEE SSCI 2013) and journals (e.g. IEEE Internet of Things, Ad Hoc Networks, Elsevier, Wireless Networks, Springer, Computer and Electronic in Agriculture, Elsevier).
