Grainne is currently undertaking a PhD which is examining the factors influencing farmer engagement with and adoption of Smart Farming Technologies. The study will examine the socio-economic, behavioural and informational factors which impact farmer’s adoption of such technologies. The research is supported by the H2020-funded project DEMETER, which is a large scale deployment of farmer-centric, interoperable, smart farming-IoT based platforms. Prior to this, Grainne was Communications Director at Kinetic Ireland, a leading outdoor advertising agency.
