Hazel completed a Bachelor Degree in Business and Arts Management at IADT. She later qualified with a MBA in 2012, from Carlow IT.
Her career has spanned many industries including Art & Cultural Organisations, Tourism, Equine Business, Irish Foods, and Rural Development programmes.
Prior to joining TSSG, her work in Arts and Business saw her nominated for Shell Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2007) and Women Breaking through in Business (2007). While director of ‘Art to Order’ it was nominated for The David Manley Awards in 2007 and a social project she worked on ‘Mill Street Studios’ was nominated for the same award in 2010.
Since 2014, she has taken up senior roles at TSSG, an internationally recognised centre for excellence for ICT Research and Innovation. As Marketing Manager at TSSG, her diverse background has firmly stood to her, in her approach to various projects at TSSG.
Today, she is the Senior Strategic Business Partner for Agri at TSSG, building out a network of strategic partners both nationally and internationally. She is the site manager for VistaMilk (www.vistamilk.ie) for WIT and the Regional Cluster Lead for Smart Agri Hubs Ireland and UK (https://www.smartagrihubs.eu), a project that will drive the digital transformation of the European AgriFoodSector. She also heads up TSSG’s Digital Innovation Hub in Kilkenny, known as PACE (Precision Agriculture Centre of Excellence).
She is an ideas driven, logical, creative thinker and a highly motivated person who is both professional and passionate in her approach to work.
