Personal Summary

Currently Shagufta is  a Postdoctoral Researcher in TSSGWaterford Institute of Technology, working in the CONNECT Centre, particularly on the industry-based application of graph neural networks for virtualised networks.

Shagufta Henna worked as an Assistant Professor for five years in the Department of Computer Science, Bahria University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Prior to this position, she has taught several computer science courses both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in UK.  Further, she has also worked as a senior system analyst in the National Institute of Electronics under Ministry of Information & Technology, Islamabad.

She has received the PhD scholarship from Higher Education Commission Pakistan for her PhD in UK. In 2017, she received Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award by Bahria University, Islamabad. Till date she has successfully supervised several MS. Dissertations in diverse areas of wireless networks, wireless communication, and application of machine learning on different domains of networks. Further, she is currently supervising several MS and PhD students in different domains of networks including machine learning in Long Range Wide Area Networks, Machine learning in Virtualized Networks, and Machine learning in Wireless Body Area Networks.
